Experimenting while revisiting my first love, black & white. These snapshots were made with my trusty FujiX100F. Architectural and botanical details and abstracts photographed at the landmark modern conservatory, The Leaf in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

At night the scale of the space feels even bigger, the depth of the artificial jungle environment more immersive. The limited light is challenging, sometimes you just have to embrace a little blur.

This is a particularly nice location to explore with a camera during the winter months, offering a tropical respite from the bitter cold outside. The architectural design is echoed in the natural forms of leaves, branches and trees.

In other news I will no longer be actively posting to Instagram as I try to divest from Meta products as much as possible. I am trying out pixelfed as an alternative for posting my photography, including more frequent batches of personal work.
